a day of adventuring

Today my (honorary) big sister and I went on an adventure to a local small town.

We had lunch and coffee at this super cute, super yummy establishment.

Then we walked around the town, took pictures and window shopped.

We even discovered some hidden gems off the main drag.

We waded in the freezing cold water and Miranda climbed a tree.

This town is so full of character and loveliness, it's almost too much to handle.

After we had exhausted the resources of the town, we set out on back country roads.

And it was the best.

I came home sunburned, windblown, tired, and with a heart full of gratefulness for this beautiful place I live and this amazing friend who is always up for a crazy adventure.

    1. Thanks! I had set the camera on the hood, and when I went to adjust it I realized it made a cool shot! :) we are thinking about going back for the Fourth...we were also noticing (and loving) how patriotic the town is.
