graduation pictures!!

Yesterday was my high school graduation. It was crazy, and fun, and I am really glad it is over. Here are a few of the pictures that I have from it. I had two friends taking pictures, and so far I just have pics back from one of them. So there will probably be another installment of pictures coming soon. Enjoy!

Gramps opened in prayer, and Grandpa closed. Grammy and Grandma both spoke, as well as two other very special ladies, Jeanette Keating and Becky Barth. Dad also spoke a little bit before he and Mom presented me with my diploma. They all did an amazing job.

just a few old pictures

I have spent a lot of time the last three days working on sorting through old pictures and then scanning them so I can put together my graduation slideshow. And let me tell you, I have found some gems. 

Like this one. Apparently my love of tractors started young.

Or this one. I dunno why, but it just makes my heart happy.

But of all the pictures I scanned and of all the pictures that will be on my slideshow, and of all the pictures I have seen over the past few days, the following two are the only ones that make me wanna curl up in a little ball and cry because of the cuteness.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Of all the pictures of my mom, this is by far my favorite. The dog in the picture is Lady, a collie that they got about 2 months after I was born. I love the lighting in this picture, and the memories attached to it. But most of all, I love the love that is displayed in this picture. 

My mom has always been supportive and caring of not only her children and family, but of everyone she comes into contact with. 

My mom is probably the most hardworking person I know. She has helped to instill in me a good work ethic, which is something that I will always treasure. She loves gardening, and outside work but doesn't neglect the house work by any stretch of the imagination. She is the one who has helped me see that women don't have to just do the housework and then sit around. We can actually be outside, working as hard (or harder) than the men. 

If I had to use one word to describe my mom, it would be awesome. Cause that is exactly what she is. She has taught me so much, and I know that the teaching will never stop. And I am incredibly grateful for that. I love my mom so much, and I am so glad that she is my mother. Happy birthday Mom!

Spring Break and Easter

This past week was spring break, and even though it was way to short and way to busy, it was still good. I didn't get as many pictures as I probably should have, but here are a few (mainly from Easter).
